Event photography report at the Château de La Napoule

Reportage photo événementiel Chateau La Napoule - dressage de la table

The event agency Preference Events, with whom I currently work as an event photographer, asked me to do a photo and video report of a birthday party near Cannes at the Château de La Napoule.

This event is quite special because there were two huge surprises: the participation of Barry White’s look-alike and a private concert by Sam Ryder!

Arrival of guests

The guests arrived on two different buses and walked on the pink carpet that was set up along the castle‘s driveway.

I then took photos of them in couples or small groups in the main area where the tables and stage were set up.

Barry White mini concert

After all the guests had made their way to the terrace on the sea side, the Barry White look-alike started to sing to the applause.

Nightfall

This moment is really special because the light becomes very soft, it is the blue hour, a few moments before it gets completely dark.

It is at this moment, before the guests arrive and take their seats, that I take the opportunity to take photos of the setting up of the tables and the environment.

Meals and speeches

After the aperitif, all the guests went to the table to eat and listen to the different speeches that took place.

Sam Ryder concert

Little known in France, Sam Ryder is a star in English speaking countries.

As a surprise for his birthday, Sam Ryder came to sing his own songs as well as some medleys he had put together.

I was able to take pictures from the front as well as from the side to vary the types of shots.

Dance party

The rest of the evening took place in a dedicated room where the DJ had set up his sound and light equipment.

The aim for me was to take photos from a distance to capture the mood of the guests as well as close up photos where the guests were smiling and looking at me.
